Declining Red Maple

About five years ago we removed the third stem from this triple lead Maple. The stem broke in a windstorm and needed to be addressed. We explained how this would ultimately cause for the entire tree to decay and become a hazard to the home. With annual checks on the tree the homeowner was able to enjoy this for five additional years. This year the backside root system can become compromised and so the risk of failure became too great to allow the tree to continue.
